The South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme
The South East Europe programme is a unique instrument which, in the framework of the Regional Policy's Territorial Cooperation Objective, aims to improve integration and competitiveness in an area which is as complex as it is diverse.
The programme is supporting projects developed within four Priority Axes: Innovation, Environment, Accessibility, and Sustainable Growth Areas - in line with the Lisbon and Gothenburg priorities, and is also contributing to the integration process of the non-EU member states.

23.02 - Regional Policy: towards a simplication of funds management?
The Informal Meeting of ministers and high-ranking representatives of EU regional policy stressed the need to simplify control and management of funds so as not to delay project development, especially in these times of crisis when European regional policy must contribute to prosperity and reduce the breach between different zones. At the meeting have participated the highest authorities in regional policy and territorial cohesion in the Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area and candidate countries for membership, called by the Spanish Secretary of State for the Treasury, Carlos Oca?a, with the participation of the new European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn, from Austria.
