NEWADA Final event! Greet the Danube!

Danube  Donau  Dunaj  Dunărea  Donava  Duna  Dunav  

The Danube connects and unifies. People, countries, regions and Danube Waterway Administrations. The South East Europe Programme provided a framework for the project NEWADA to bring closer the waterway administrations of Danubian countries and thus increase efficiency of the Danube corridor.

Share the results, experience and achievements obtained with NEWADA consortium and meet other important stakeholders at the final event on 22 February in Budapest.

Third EU.WATER international newsletter published


Following the delivery of the vulnerability maps that measure the water stress factors detected in every rural pilot regions and the current analysis of the codes of good agricultural practices traditionally implemented by farmers and technicians, the EU.WATER partnership is now focused on the definition of a Transnational Strategy for the Integrated Water Management in Agriculture.

NATREG practice - good practice


At the meeting of the EC Coordination Group for Biodiversity and Nature (CGBN) which took place on 15 November in Brussels, NATREG project was presented as one of the good practices by DG Regio. The discussion focused on the topic of "Funding opportunities for biodiversity and nature in the 2014-2020 EU funding regulations" and highlighted some of the good examples from the current financial framework.

FATE project book talks about sharing regional development practices


FATE  project's book "Sharing Regional Development Practices" is now available. It contains a detailed description of all project activities and outputs as well as the description of the pilot actions implemented by the project, whose objective is to make the transition "From Army To Entrepreneurship" by stimulating the rehabilitation of military brownfields in proximity of densely populated reas.

SETA Kick off meeting - INVITATION


The official kick off meeting of the project SETA - "South East Transport Axis" will take place in Bratislava on the 24 November 2011. Bringing together stakeholders from the participating regions, the project partners are keen to learn more about your requirements for an improved rail corridor between Vienna/Bratislava via Western Hungary to the northern Adriatic ports. Video Competition organised by ENER-SUPPLY


To celebrate the importance of the energy efficiency and to encourage the usage of renewable energy sources, the project ENER-SUPPLY invites you to take part in a Video Competition. The project (www.ener-supply.eu), financed by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme, aims to support the local and regional authorities in the fields of energy management implementation and planning and promotion of investments in RES. The participants are welcome to present their view of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and sustainable development in the territories involved.

Smart Rivers meets NEWADA


The NEWADA project was among the many themes covered in the technical programme of the 5th Smart Rivers Conference which was held on September 13-16 in New Orleans, USA. In session 4 D "Public Policy/ Finance Theme", Hél?ne Gilkarov of via donau, the Austrian Waterway Administration presented the NEWADA Project in the Danube Corridor. Harmonized cooperation and coordination in all aspects of the NEWADA project and the creation of new framework conditions for PR pro Danube were at the core of the presentation.

A Strategic Research Agenda in the Embedded Systems and Industrial Informatics Sector was developed by the I3E project


The I3E project has finalised the Strategic Research Agenda in the Embedded Systems and Industrial Informatics sectors (SRA), with the goal of helping and stimulating the coordination of the research efforts in SEE area in the aforementioned research sectors. The document is targeted not only towards researchers, but towards policy makers from the SEE countries as it can be an useful instrument for the development of the future programmes and strategies at national and regional level.

Ener Supply participated in the 7th edition of UNESCO Regional Summer School on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Governance


The training activities of Ener Supply are continuing. The project contributed to the 7th edition of UNESCO Regional Summer School on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Governance held in Fojnica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and organized by UNESCO Venice Office in collaboration with GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation) and the Regional Education and Information Centre (REIC).
From 23 August to 3 September 2011, twenty-one young professionals and PhD students from different countries of South East Europe, have benefitted from the training provided by experts involved in the Ener Supply project.

The SEE MMS project is organizing the conference "ON THE ROAD TO BETTER MOBILITY AND GREEN JOBS IN THE EU CITIES" on the 15th and the 16th of September in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The two day event will offer the possibility to explore the results of the SEE MMS project, allowing interaction between the attendants.

Capacity building event on water monitoring in Ferrara


The Province of Ferrara, as lead partner of EU.WATER project, with the technical support of CFR (Ferrara Research Centre), organized on 11-18 July an intensive seminar with the objective to reinforce the general capacities of administrations from Serbia, Croatia, Moldova and Ukraine in water and environmental monitoring procedures, so that these can better address local and regional policy planning for agricultural and water-related issues.

SEETAC project discusses "The Challenges of the EU integration of Western Balkan transport network"


During a meeting with members of the European Parliament and European Commission, held on 28 June in Brussels, the representatives of SEETAC project have debated important issues related to transport in the Balkans area.
